You know those days where you wake up with a headache not wanting to get out of bed and then nothing quite goes to plan? that was today! I was supposed to be driving to Frome this morning to see a friend and then spending a few days back in Devon. The only problem was, when I came to pack up an order this morning I found one of the pieces of fabric I’d dyed over the weekend really hadn’t come out well and needed to be redone. That changed my plans a bit and means I’m still at home! It might not be such an issue as this mornings headache has gotten enthusiastically worse during the day so skipping a long drive isn’t such bad thing. I feel a bit guilty for letting a friend down last minute, but these things happen (and that will teach me not to check drying fabric more carefully!).
Right now I’m done whining, this weeks WiP update picture. I spend a couple of evenings last week working on one of the bottom corners of Caribbean, I’ve done another of the trees but the corner ornaments and hummingbirds still need to be added still so no picture of that one until I’ve got a little more done. I spent the weekend doing a little more to Daybreak Moon, I didn’t get as much done as I’d have liked to but I’ve started filling in her wings. They are beautiful lilacs and pinks. I’ve done most of one of the wings, I’m planning on filling the other one in, then stitching more of the kitten going down the page. I had to stop myself working on the moon when I hit it with the wing. I know there are mistakes in the kitten though so I need to finish her and work the moon afterwards. I’m not sure what I’m going to work on this week. Nt weekend is the themed HAED SAL, so depending on what the theme for that is depends on what I’m stitching next weekend. I will try and get the 3rd corner on Caribbean finished this week though (and possibly if the HAED SAL doesn’t appeal at the weekend I’ll stay with it and finish part 10).
